Synopsis: This historical adventure story is set in 1611 just after the Passau invasion of Bohemia. The main heroine, twelve-year-old Magdalena, accidentally witnesses a cruel and merciless battle between Passau mercenaries and their Czech pursuers. At this time she meets the wandering musician Matouš Psík. Their friendship helps them overcome all dangers, caused in no small extent by a miraculous bottle - a bottle that can grant its owner one wish, but which must then be sold at half the price than which it was purchased, otherwise its holder is doomed to Hell...

Ludvík Ráža: Ludvík Ráža (1929-2000) was a Czech director and screenwriter who graduated in directing from FAMU. His work was mainly connected with TV and he shot dozens of films and series for children and youth, for which he was awarded. He was one of the pioneers of the children's genre; he was at the birth of the first live-action bed-time story The Boy and the Comet (Kluk a kometa, 1964). He also made, e.g., the fairy tales The Prince and the Pauper (Princ a chuďas, 1971), Vandronik (O Janovi a jeho podivuhodném příteli, 1990), the series The Mystery of the Wicker Basket (Tajemství proutěného košíku, 1977), and the historical film In the Lioness Crest (V erbu lvice, 1994).
