They are both orphans and homeless in Iraqi Kurdistan under the oppressive regime of Saddam Hussein during the 1990s. Their only hope is to reach the United States of America and live with their friend 'Superman'. But how will they get there? They lack everything necessary to fulfill their dream; they have no money, no passports, and the only means of transportation they've got is a donkey.

Fists of Pride follows Little Tiger and his fellow fighters as their Thai coaches prepare them for the annual Water Festival competition. The film reveals their daily struggles in a region where combat sports have always been a matter of honour and money. All bets are open, and as their hope of winning prize money grows, the young boxers contemplate what a victory could mean for them and their families.

This film tells the story of a maturing young girl named Jolana, who is the object of sexual desire by her stepfather. Jolana cannot deal with the problems in her family and is losing the ability to communicate with her friends; she falls further and further into the closed world of her imagination. She can no longer play her role in the "happy family" at home. The outside world drags her down; she's afraid, but she cannot turn away from the submissive erotic games. The unbearableness of the situation and a number of dramatic events lead our main heroine to a whorehouse, where her situation becomes even worse. But the question remains, what does Jolana actually want... Isn't escaping to her dreams better than the horrible reality around her?

When the council offers Kenny a flat, Mille takes the opportunity to move in with him. But their old problems follow them; Kenny can't give up his old lifestyle of friends, beer and dope, and can't find a job. Mille must slave away in a bakery with her friend Anja. But when Mille meets hip-hopper Sami, she falls for him; he's ambitious and has a goal. Torn between two boys, she's forced to reflect on who she really is. It's her dilemma - can she break free from her surroundings and where she comes from?
