Synopsis: The music of the overture "The Alchymist" by the German classic composer Louis Spohr inspired the directors Thomas Stellmach and Maja Oschmann to create a story-like interpretation of the composition. The film's graphic elements express a variety of emotions such as curiosity, joy, anger and threat and take the listener and viewer on an exciting but equally poetic journey through the music into an abstract associative visual world.

Thomas Stellmach and Maja Oschmann: Thomas Stellmach (1965) is a German animator, screenwriter, director and producer. He graduated in animation from the Academy of Fine Arts in Kassel, Germany. He co-founded his own production company and focused primarily on advertising and TV animation, then became completely independent. His film workshop has made Weeds (Unkraut, 1991), Chicken Kiev (2003) and Virtuos Virtuell (2013), which he made together with Maja Oschmann. Maja Oschmann (1975) is a German animator and graphic artist. She graduated from the studio of visual communication at the Academy of Art in Kassel, where she later also taught. She tries to combine music and drawings in her art work. Together with Thomas Stellmach, she directed the short animated short film Virtuos Virtuell (2013).
