Synopsis: Milo (10) is unaware that he suffers from a rare genetic disease. He is kept under strict control by his parents; they strive for wealth and success and are dead-set on keeping Milo's shameful condition a secret. A failed kidnapping, an unusual friendship and a violent confrontation forces Milo and his parents to embrace the imperfections in their lives.

Berend Boorsma, Roel Boorsma: Berend Boorsma (1977 ) and Roel Boorsma (1979 ) are a Dutch sibling directing duo. Berend graduated from the Maastricht Academy of Fine Arts and film studies from the University of Amsterdam. Roel studied law at Maastricht University and art management in Utrecht. Both attended courses in screenwriting and directing. They began their collaboration on the making of commercials and music videos. Their short films include Psalm 69 (2003), Brat (2008 ), and the feature-length Milo (2012).
