Synopsis: Selkirk, an unruly, selfish pirate, is the sailing master of the Esperanza, an English galley sailing the South Seas in search of treasures. When Captain Bullock decides to abandon him on an uninhabited island, he discovers a new outlook on the world and learns to survive alone, becoming the real Robinson Crusoe. His story became Daniel Defoe´s inspiration for the novel Robinson Crusoe.

Walter Tournier: Walter Tournier (1944) is a Uruguayan animator, screenwriter and director of animated films. He studied architecture and film. He has made a series of short animated films, such the award-winning Our Little Paradise (Nuestro Peque?o Paraíso, 1983), Caribbean Christmas (Navidad Caribe?a, 2001), and In Spite of Everything (A pesar de todo, 2003). He often works in TV. The adventure film Selkirk, the Real Robinson Crusoe (Selkirk, el verdadero Robinson Crusoe, 2012) is his feature debut.
