Synopsis: It's Friday night in Asunción and the temperature is 40?C. Víctor, a 17-year-old pushcart porter, dreams of becoming famous and really wants a cell phone. Fearing for the security of his job, Victor realizes that he needs to work harder to make money. He is offered the chance to deliver seven boxes with unknown contents in exchange for $100. This sounds like an easy job but it soon gets complicated. Something in the boxes is highly coveted. Víctor and his persecutors find themselves caught up in a crime they know nothing about.

Juan Carlos Maneglia, Tana Schémbori: Juan Carlos Maneglia (1966) and Tana Shémbori (1970) are a creative filmmaking duo from Paraguay. They graduated in communications science from the University of Asunción; Maneglia further studied film studies in Cuba. They started their collaborations when making the TV series La Disputa (1999), then they shot short feature films and TV series, e.g., Trash Love (Amor Basura, 2000), Horno Ardiente (2002), Candidad (2004) and La Chuchi (2006). The film 7 Boxes (Siete Cajas, 2012) is their feature film debut. The duo also make TV series and work on awareness-raising and educational activities.
