Synopsis: Two parts in a series on the lives of teenagers of foreign nationalities or of different faiths in the Czech Republic. Anya, Lesha and Vanya The film presents three, on the whole, normal, slightly adolescent young people. They go to school, have part-time jobs, study, dance, sing, go to clubs and to McDonald's. From time to time they switch from fluent Czech to Russian or Ukrainian. They've been in the Czech Republic for roughly ten years and don't really remember much of "home". They want to stay, work, and have a family. But they certainly don't want to turn their backs on their native countries. Somewhere inside they are still Ukrainians and Russians and their roots are very important to them. Rihla Rihla in Arabic means "path of knowledge". Three Muslim protagonists have symbolically begun to walk this path - two Czech girls, both named Nikola, who converted to Islam a few years ago, and the young Sahrab, who came from Afghanistan in order to study here. Three young people on the path to Islam, and away from it. The documentary shows what it's like to be a Muslim in Czech society and raises the question: Is Islam compatible with life in Western society?
