Synopsis: Assigned by their teacher to write an essay about their most cherished dream, four young friends in rural Indonesia each take a different approach to their assignment. Class representative Jono wants to be a soldier when he grows up, and practices by playing war games in his backyard. Mey wants to be a famous actress, and works on her smile in front of the mirror as her stage mother looks on. Puji dreams about helping others, while Agus, whose family does not have a wide variety of food at home, wants nothing more than to eat at an authentic Padang restaurant in the city - and when an opportunity arises to earn some money, he sets out to make his dream come true.

Eugene Panji: Eugene Panji is a director from Indonesia. He is a graduate of Jakarta Institute of Arts. He's made more than two dozen music videos - many of them award-winning - and has also made many advertising films. Stepping on the Flying Grass (2012) is his feature film debut.
